The movie takes place in a remote desert town in California called Divinity Falls, where a couple named Tim (J.J. Banicki) and Allie (Kelen Coleman) get lost while on a road trip. They stumble upon a motel run by a sinister preacher named Preacher (Billy Drago) and his mute assistant named Sarah (Barbara Nedeljakova).
The couple decides to stay at the motel for the night, but they soon realize that something is not right about the town. They witness strange rituals performed by the preacher and his followers and discover that there are no children in the town.
Allie becomes curious and starts digging into the town's history. She discovers that the town was once a thriving community with a school and many children, but a strange occurrence caused all the children to suddenly disappear and the town became cursed. The townspeople blame a mysterious cornfield nearby for the disappearance of their children, hence the name Children of the Corn.
As Allie delves deeper into the mystery, she uncovers a dark secret about the town and the preacher. She also discovers that the preacher has been keeping a young boy named Isaac (Kai Caster) locked up in a basement, claiming that he is the messiah who will lead the town to redemption.
Meanwhile, Tim gets drawn into the cornfield and experiences terrifying visions of ghostly children. He also gets into a series of events that slowly unravel the truth behind the disappearance of the town's children.
The movie is filled with suspense, scares, and a lot of gore. The plot is engaging and keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats until the end. The characters are well-developed, and the performances by the cast are excellent.
