Champagne for Caesar is a 1950 comedy film starring Ronald Colman, Celeste Holm, and Vincent Price. The movie tells the story of Beauregard Bottomley (Ronald Colman), a genius who is unable to find a job because his intellect intimidates everyone around him. One day, Bottomley comes across a radio quiz show called "Masquerade for Money" and decides to enter. The quiz show host, Burnbridge Waters (Vincent Price), is arrogant and condescending towards his contestants. Bottomley manages to answer all the questions correctly and wins the opportunity to appear on the show again.

However, Waters is not happy about this and he decides to use all his power to bring Bottomley down. He tries to discredit him in front of the entire audience, telling them that he is a charlatan who has been cheating. But Bottomley keeps his calm and manages to set the record straight.

Meanwhile, Waters' secretary, Trudy (Celeste Holm), is secretly fascinated by Bottomley's intelligence, and the two become friends. Trudy is also at odds with Waters, who is constantly making inappropriate advances towards her.

The movie is full of hilarious moments, such as when Bottomley has to wear a ridiculous costume and sing nursery rhymes on the show, much to the audience's delight. There are also some tense moments, especially towards the end of the film when Waters tries to sabotage Bottomley once again.

The performances of the three main actors are outstanding. Ronald Colman plays the role of the genius Bottomley with charm and wit, while Vincent Price is perfect as the snobbish and manipulative quiz show host. Celeste Holm brings a touch of warmth and sensitivity to her role as Trudy, who serves as a bridge between the two men.

Another strong point of the movie is its commentary on the power of knowledge and the danger of underestimating intelligence. Bottomley's struggle to find a job because of his intellect is something many people can relate to, and the film raises some interesting questions about the value society places on education.

Overall, Champagne for Caesar is a delightful comedy with a smart script and excellent performances. It's a movie that's sure to entertain both those who enjoy cerebral humor and those who simply want to have a good laugh.

Champagne for Caesar is a 1950 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 39 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.4.
