Camp Nowhere is a lighthearted and fun family film that was released in 1994. The movie stars Jonathan Jackson as Morris "Mud" Himmel, a 12-year old boy who is fed up with his parents' disappointment over his lack of summer plans. Mud, who is the master of manipulation, scams his parents into giving him $1700 to attend a computer camp. Instead, Mud and his friends Zack, Trish, and Gaby decide to create their own summer camp where they can do whatever they want without the usual restrictions placed upon them.

The group enlists the help of Dennis Van Welker (Christopher Lloyd) an out-of-work drama teacher, to be their head counselor. Van Welker, who is down on his luck and desperate for money, agrees to their proposal and helps the kids build their own summer camp in a remote location. The kids create a fake brochure advertising the camp as a specialist program for misbehaving children, and soon they have attracted a diverse group of kids from around the area.

At Camp Nowhere, there are no rules, no structure, and no adult supervision. The kids are free to do whatever they want, and they quickly take advantage of their newfound freedom. They swim in the lake, ride dirt bikes, explore the forest, play video games, and eat as much junk food as they can get their hands on. They create their own activities and games, and everyone is happy.

Despite the kids' efforts to keep their camp a secret, Mud's parents become suspicious when they can't reach their son. They hire a private investigator to find him and he uncovers the Camp Nowhere conspiracy. Mud's parents are furious and demand that the camp be shut down immediately. However, the kids at Camp Nowhere have other ideas. They band together to fight for their right to have a summer of free-spirited fun like no other.

Throughout the movie, the audience watches as the kids at Camp Nowhere take charge of their own lives. They learn about leadership, responsibility, and the importance of working together. Mud, Zack, Trish, and Gaby form an unbreakable bond as they create their own world, free from the constraints of the outside one.

Overall, Camp Nowhere is an amusing and heartwarming story about the power of imagination and the value of friendship. The movie has a great message for kids and adults alike, and it's hard not to root for the plucky band of misfits as they navigate the challenges of running their own summer camp. With solid performances from the actors and a fun storyline, Camp Nowhere is a classic family movie that still holds up today.
