Bumboo is a 2012 Indian comedy film directed by Jagdish Rajpurohit and starring Kavin Dave, Sharat Saxena, Sanjay Mishra, and others. The film takes a satirical look at the various shades of human nature and how people react differently to different situations. The film begins with a hitman called Mangal Singh Tomar (played by Sanjay Mishra) attempting to kill a renowned writer, Manu Gupta (played by Sudhir Pandey). However, he mistakenly ends up killing a waiter named Kallu (played by Kavin Dave), who was meant to be the witness to Manu Gupta's murder. Mangal Singh soon realizes his mistake and tries to cover up his tracks by trying to make it look like a suicide.
Kallu, who is actually not dead, wakes up in the hospital with partial amnesia and not remembering anything since a few days before the incident. He is taken under the care of a corrupt police officer, Inspector Joshi (played by Sharat Saxena), who coerces him into confessing to the murder of Manu Gupta. Meanwhile, Mangal Singh, who is a habitual drinker, meets Kallu in the hospital and realizes that he is still alive. He decides to finish what he started and tries to kill Kallu again.
The film then follows a series of events where Mangal Singh tries to kill Kallu, but his plans are foiled due to various reasons. Kallu also meets a journalist named Sheena (played by Mandy Takhar), who is trying to uncover the truth behind Manu Gupta's murder. Sheena falls in love with Kallu and helps him in his quest to prove his innocence.
Bumboo is filled with hilarious moments and witty one-liners throughout the film. The film is a commentary on the various facets of human nature, including greed, corruption, and love. The performances by the lead actors, Kavin Dave, Sharat Saxena, and Sanjay Mishra, are commendable. They succeed in bringing humor to their roles while also conveying the seriousness of the situations they are in.
