In the 2014 movie Bullet, Danny Trejo plays Frank 'Bullet' Marasco, a tough cop who doesn't play by the rules. He's tasked with pursuing a dangerous drug lord in Los Angeles, one who has a penchant for kidnapping the children of rival drug lords. Bullet takes on the case with his usual gritty determination, but soon finds himself in over his head.

As if going up against a powerful and dangerous drug lord weren't enough, Bullet also has to deal with personal demons that continue to haunt him. He's haunted by the memory of his son's kidnapping, and the fact that he was unable to save him. These personal struggles threaten to consume him, and they make it difficult for him to concentrate on the task at hand.

Along the way, Bullet encounters a cast of colorful characters, from a high-end call girl played by Torsten Voges to a hacker who goes by the name of NOS. One of the key figures in the story is Carlito Kane, played by Jonathan Banks. Kane is the drug lord that Bullet is chasing, and he's a menacing presence throughout the movie.

Bullet also has a love interest in the form of Julia Dietze's character, Dr. Jessica Schutz. She's a scientist who works for Kane, but she quickly forms a connection with Bullet. She proves to be a valuable ally for him as he tries to track down Kane and rescue the kidnapped children.

The movie is packed with action, from car chases to shootouts to hand-to-hand combat. Danny Trejo is perfectly suited to the role of a hard-nosed cop who's willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. He's a force to be reckoned with, and watching him take on Kane's henchmen is a thrill.

For fans of gritty crime movies, Bullet is a must-see. The movie doesn't shy away from violence or tough subject matter, but it's also not gratuitous. Everything feels like it serves a purpose in the story, and there's a sense of urgency that keeps the movie moving along. The characters are well-drawn and believable, and the cast delivers solid performances across the board.

One of the standout elements of the movie is its visual style. Director Nick Lyon has a sharp eye for composition, and the movie is full of striking imagery. The use of color and shadows creates a noirish feel that suits the subject matter perfectly. The action sequences are also well-shot and easy to follow, with just the right amount of chaos and mayhem.

Overall, Bullet is a satisfying entry in the crime movie genre. It's not reinventing the wheel, but it doesn't need to. It's a well-executed story with strong performances, solid action, and a distinct visual style. Anyone who's a fan of Danny Trejo or crime movies in general should definitely check it out.

Bullet is a 2014 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 28 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.2.
