The thief at first agrees to the deal but later gets second thoughts and decides to hide the will in Buchanan's cell. At the same time, Amos is after Juan. Brockin sets up a trap to catch him, hoping to frame him for murder, and puts Ranchero in charge of finishing Buchanan while Amos Brockin is out taking care of Juan.

Buchanan manages to escape the jail with Juan, and together they plot to regain control of the will and clear their names. In a final duel, Buchanan manages to outsmart all the parties involved in the will's theft and bring about full justice.
