Watch Bronx Bull, The

Bronx Bull is a biographical sports drama film, based on the life of former middleweight boxing champion Jake LaMotta. Directed by Martin Guigui and written by Rustam Branaman, the movie shares its name with LaMotta's nickname, the "Bronx Bull", and it explores the highs and lows of LaMotta's career in the boxing ring as well as his personal life outside of it.

However, as Jake's career takes off and he becomes a contender for the middleweight championship, his personal life starts to crumble. He becomes increasingly jealous and abusive towards Vickie and starts to lose control of his anger both inside and outside of the ring. His relationship with his brother, who he views as a father figure, also becomes strained as Joey becomes more and more frustrated with Jake's behavior.

Despite these challenges, Jake ultimately earns a shot at the title against the reigning champion, Sugar Ray Robinson (Ray Wise). The fight is brutal and is hailed as one of the greatest boxing matches of all time. Although Jake loses, he gains the respect of Robinson and the boxing community for his fierce determination and heart.

The film then fast forwards to later in Jake's life, where he is now older and reflective. He seeks redemption for his past mistakes and tries to make amends with those he has hurt, including Vickie and Joey.

The performances in Bronx Bull are strong, particularly William Forsythe as the older Jake LaMotta. Forsythe brings a depth and complexity to the character, portraying both his vulnerability and his toughness. Joe Mantegna also delivers an emotional performance as Joey, conveying his love and loyalty for his brother despite his frustrations.

The film is beautifully shot, with the gritty streets of the Bronx and the boxing ring captured in a raw and authentic way. The fight scenes are also well choreographed and intense, showcasing the brutality of the sport as well as its grace and beauty.
