Bridget Jones' Diary is a movie staring Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Hugh Grant. It is set in London, and is based on the book by Helen Fielding. The book, like the movie, follows Bridget Jones as she recounts bits and pieces of her life in her diary, and sets on a quests to improve herself. Colin Firth plays a lawyer who meets Bridget, and is considered stiff, restrained, and who makes a bad impression on Bridget. Hugh Grant's character is charming, fun, and he courts Bridget.

Bridget Jones' Diary plays up the same themes in Jane Austen's book Pride and Prejudice. Renee Zellweger's character is like Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice and Colin Firth is like Mr. Darcy. The movie is a romantic comedy, and Renee Zellweger is adorable and convincing as a slightly overweight, but attractive British woman who keeps, unfortunately, putting the wrong foot in her mouth.

Bridget Jones's Diary is a 2001 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 37 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.8 and a MetaScore of 66.
