Brick Mansions is a 2014 action-packed thriller directed by Camille Delamarre, written by Luc Besson, and starring Paul Walker, David Belle, and RZA. The movie is a remake of the 2004 French film District 13, in which David Belle also played the lead character. Set in the not-so-distant future, Brick Mansions takes place in a dystopian Detroit where the city has become a high-security prison, completely isolated from the rest of the world. The government has built a massive wall around the city, leaving the residents of Brick Mansions trapped inside, where crime, corruption, and drugs rule the streets.

Paul Walker plays Damien Collier, an undercover cop who is given the mission to infiltrate Brick Mansions and take down the drug lord Tremaine Alexander (RZA), who controls the city with an iron fist. Alexander has stolen a neutron bomb and threatens to detonate it within the city's walls, unless he is paid a hefty ransom.

To complete his mission, Damien teams up with Lino (David Belle), a highly skilled parkour expert who knows the ins and outs of Brick Mansions better than anyone else. Lino's girlfriend, Lola (Catalina Denis), is also taken hostage by Alexander, adding an extra dimension of urgency to the already high-stakes mission.

Together, Damien and Lino embark on a dangerous journey, facing obstacles at every turn as they make their way closer to Alexander and the stolen neutron bomb. As the clock ticks down and the tension rises, the two must rely on each other to succeed in their mission and save the city from certain destruction.

The movie's action scenes are its biggest draw, as the dynamic duo of Damien and Lino, with their different fighting styles, work together to take down their enemies in exciting and creative ways. David Belle's parkour moves are particularly impressive and add a fresh new take on typical fight scenes seen in action movies.

The movie's storyline is also engaging, as it explores themes of corruption, crime, and redemption in a world that has been abandoned by society. The characters are well-developed, and the movie doesn't shy away from showing the brutal reality of life in Brick Mansions.

Paul Walker delivers a strong performance as the determined and gritty underdog cop who will stop at nothing to achieve his mission. David Belle is equally impressive as the tough and street-savvy Lino, who brings authenticity to the role with his background in parkour.

RZA's portrayal of the ruthless drug lord Tremaine Alexander is also noteworthy, as he brings a menacing presence to the screen that makes him both captivating and terrifying.

Overall, Brick Mansions is a thrilling and entertaining action movie that delivers in all the right places. Its well-executed action scenes, engaging storyline, and strong performances make it a must-watch for fans of the genre.

Brick Mansions is a 2014 action movie. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.6 and a MetaScore of 40.
