Bob the Builder: The Knights of Fix-A-Lot is a 2003 animated family film based on the popular British children's television series, Bob the Builder. The movie follows Bob, a cheerful and hardworking builder, and his team of construction machines as they embark on an adventure to save their medieval town, Fixhampton, from a troublesome dragon.
The film begins with Bob and his team, which includes Scoop the digger, Muck the bulldozer, and various other machines, working on Fixhampton Castle. They are hired by the castle's owner, Sir Sabatini, to repair a wall that has been damaged by the dragon. Sir Sabatini is a bumbling knight who has been tasked with guarding the town from the dragon, but he is not very good at his job.
Meanwhile, Bob's nephew, Tom, is visiting from the city and is fascinated by everything medieval. He spends his time learning about knights and castles, and he even dresses up in a suit of armor. One day, while exploring the castle, he discovers a mysterious book that tells the story of the Knights of Fix-A-Lot, a group of brave knights who protected the town from the dragon centuries ago.
As Bob and his team continue to work on the castle, they become aware that the dragon has been attacking other parts of the town. Sir Sabatini is unable to stop the dragon, and the townspeople are becoming increasingly scared. Bob and his team realize that they must take matters into their own hands and defeat the dragon themselves.
With the help of Tom and his newfound knowledge of knights, Bob and his team build a giant dragon trap using parts of the castle. They then lure the dragon into the trap and are able to capture it. However, they soon realize that the dragon is not the real problem. The real problem is Sir Sabatini's inability to be a good knight and protect the town.
In the end, Bob and his team teach Sir Sabatini important lessons about bravery and standing up for what is right. Sir Sabatini is able to redeem himself by leading the townspeople in a battle against an invading army. The army is defeated, and Fixhampton is saved. Sir Sabatini is rewarded for his bravery, and Tom returns to the city with a newfound appreciation for medieval times.
