Blues Highway is a short documentary film that was released in 1994. The film takes a look at what is known as "The Great Migration", which was the migration of millions of African-Americans to northern urban centers. The film documents the trials of having to make this move after the reconstruction era. It also looks at how it shifted African-American culture from a mostly southern concept into one that was endemic to cities. The film then takes a look of much of the crime and poverty that can be found in these urban areas. Blues Highway was directed by William Guttentag and Vince DiPersio.
