Bloody Bloody Bible Camp is a horror comedy film directed by Vito Trabucco and released in 2012. The movie is set in 1977 and follows a group of young adults who are about to embark on a religious retreat at Camp Pleasant. However, things take a turn for the worse as a mysterious killer begins to stalk and murder the counselors and campers one by one.

The film stars Reggie Bannister, known for his roles in horror movies such as Phantasm and Bubba Ho-Tep, Tim Sullivan, who has previously directed horror comedies such as 2001 Maniacs, and Ron Jeremy, the adult film actor who has appeared in several mainstream movies and TV shows.

The movie opens with a prologue that sets the tone for the rest of the film. We see a group of campers being led by a priest to a cave where they are supposed to pray. Instead, they are brutally murdered by an unknown assailant. The scene is played for laughs while also being gory and violent.

Cut to 1977, and we meet our main characters. There's Father Richard Cummings (Reggie Bannister), the priest in charge of the retreat, Sister Mary Chopper (Christina DeRosa), a nun with a chainsaw who has a penchant for violence, and a group of young adults including the rebellious Cindy (Jessica Sonneborn), the nerdy Kenny (Ivet Corvea), and the shy and sweet Vanessa (Deborah Venegas).

As the group makes their way to Camp Pleasant, they encounter a strange hitchhiker (Tim Sullivan) who warns them of the dangers of the camp. Despite his warnings, they continue on, and soon find themselves at the mercy of a killer in a black robe with a Bible as his weapon of choice.

What follows is a series of gory and humorous deaths as the counselors and campers try to survive the night. Along the way, they encounter a host of quirky characters such as a group of hippies, a biker gang, and even Ron Jeremy in a cameo role as a cross-dressing cook.

One of the strengths of Bloody Bloody Bible Camp is its self-awareness. The movie knows that it's a low-budget horror comedy, and it fully embraces its campy nature. The dialogue is filled with puns and one-liners, and the performances are intentionally over-the-top.

The film also takes advantage of its 1970s setting, with plenty of groovy outfits, disco music, and references to pop culture of the time. The filmmakers clearly have a love for the era, and it shows in the attention to detail.

While the movie may not be for everyone, fans of horror comedies will find plenty to enjoy in Bloody Bloody Bible Camp. The production values may not be the highest, but the filmmakers make up for it with their creativity and enthusiasm.

In conclusion, Bloody Bloody Bible Camp is a fun and gory horror comedy that knows what it is and embraces it wholeheartedly. The cast is game for the wild ride, and the movie is filled with plenty of laughs and scares. If you're a fan of genre mashups and don't mind some blood and guts with your jokes, then this movie is definitely worth checking out.
