Blast-Off Girls is a 1967 musical comedy directed by Herschell Gordon Lewis. In this film, three aspiring rock musicians, Rick (Dan Conway), Alan (Ray Sager), and Tom (Tom Tyrell), go to a small town to perform at the local carnival. Along the way, they meet a group of teenage girls who call themselves the "Blast-Off Girls," and the boys soon become intertwined with the group's antics and pranks.

The film opens with the three musicians driving in their van, discussing their big break and dreaming of becoming famous. They stop for gas at a small town and meet Sis (Judy Young), a local girl who tells them about the town's upcoming carnival. The boys decide to perform at the carnival and immediately attract a group of fans, led by the mischievous Blast-Off Girls.

The Blast-Off Girls, led by the ringleader Boots (Jerri Littlepage), are a group of teenage girls who love rock and roll music and go out of their way to cause trouble. They steal the boys' instruments, wreak havoc at the carnival, and even put on their own impromptu concert. The boys initially try to distance themselves from the girls' antics but eventually become more entangled in their schemes.

As the story progresses, the boys face a series of challenges – including a corrupt carnival owner and a rival band – but they eventually overcome them with the help of their new friends. Rick, Alan, and Tom all find love interests amongst the Blast-Off Girls, but each of their relationships is tested by the girls' wild behavior and the boys' desire for fame.

Throughout the film, there are plenty of musical numbers and comedy skits, showcasing the talents of both the actors and the real-life musicians that make up the fictional band. The Blast-Off Girls, in particular, get to show off their dancing skills in several sequences, including an impromptu dance party in a local diner.

Blast-Off Girls is a lighthearted, fun-filled romp through the world of 1960s rock and roll. It's a perfect example of a low-budget film, with its cast of mostly unknown actors and simple plotline. However, the film's charm lies in its energetic musical numbers and the memorable performances by its cast – particularly the mischievous, wild Blast-Off Girls.
