Black Knight is a 2001 comedy film starring Martin Lawrence as Jamal, a theme park employee who is transported to medieval times. After falling into a moat and knocking himself unconscious, Jamal wakes up in 14th century England, where he is believed to be a French messenger named Luigi. As he wanders through the unfamiliar surroundings, Jamal meets Victoria (Marsha Thomason), a beautiful woman who is being forced to marry an unscrupulous Duke (Vincent Regan). Together, Jamal and Victoria attempt to overthrow the Duke and restore Prince Leo (Vincent Regan) to the throne.
Along the way, Jamal helps the people of England learn to stand up for themselves and fight for what they believe in, all while trying to figure out how to get back home to the present day. He uses his modern knowledge and humor to win over the people and gain their trust, despite his unusual appearance and behavior.
The film features several memorable scenes, such as Jamal using his knowledge of basketball to help the peasants play a medieval version of the sport, and his attempts to introduce modern music and dance to the medieval court. There are also plenty of jokes and slapstick humor, as Jamal struggles to adjust to life in the past and avoid getting caught by the authorities.
The cast of Black Knight is strong, with Martin Lawrence delivering a hilarious performance as Jamal/Luigi. Marsha Thomason is also fantastic as Victoria, bringing both beauty and brains to the role. Tom Wilkinson plays the role of Sir Knolte, a knight who joins Jamal on his quest and provides some of the film's funniest moments.
Overall, Black Knight is a fun and entertaining movie that will keep audiences laughing and cheering for Jamal and his team of unlikely heroes. It's a feel-good film with a message about standing up for what's right, and features an excellent cast and memorable scenes that make it a classic comedy.
