"Black Gunn" is a classic 1970s blaxploitation film, featuring an all-star cast and non-stop action. The movie stars the legendary Jim Brown as the titular character, a nightclub owner who becomes embroiled in a gang war between the black and white criminal underworlds. Set in Los Angeles, "Black Gunn" opens with our hero, Gunn, facing off against a group of thugs who are attempting to rob his club. After swiftly dispatching the would-be robbers, Gunn learns that his younger brother, Scotty, has been murdered during a botched robbery. Determined to find out who killed his brother and bring them to justice, Gunn begins to investigate the seedy underbelly of the city.

As Gunn delves deeper into the criminal underworld, he begins to cross paths with a powerful white gangster named Capelli, played with chilling intensity by Martin Landau. Capelli and his henchmen control most of the illegal activity in the area, and they view Gunn as a threat to their operation. But Gunn is not one to back down from a fight, and soon he is leading a group of heavily-armed vigilantes in a war against Capelli and his goons.

Along the way, Gunn teams up with a sassy nightclub singer named Tina, played by Brenda Sykes. Tina has her own reasons for wanting to take down Capelli - her brother was killed by the same gang that murdered Scotty. Together, Gunn and Tina hatch a plan to infiltrate Capelli's hideout and take him down once and for all.

The action in "Black Gunn" is fast-paced and intense, featuring plenty of shootouts, car chases, and fistfights. But the film also has a deeper message about racial and economic inequality. As Gunn fights to take down Capelli and his gang, he is also fighting against a system that has stacked the deck against black people for generations.

The performances in "Black Gunn" are uniformly excellent. Jim Brown brings his trademark toughness and charisma to the role of Gunn, and Martin Landau is truly menacing as the villainous Capelli. Brenda Sykes provides comic relief and a touch of romance as Tina, and a young Bernie Casey shines as Gunn's top lieutenant.

Despite its low budget and occasionally clunky dialogue, "Black Gunn" remains a memorable and entertaining film. It is a product of its time, to be sure, but it also has a timeless quality that has made it a cult classic. If you're a fan of gritty, action-packed crime movies, "Black Gunn" is not to be missed.

Black Gunn is a 1972 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 36 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.8.
