Made in Thailand, the movie "The Billionaire" is based off the life of Top Aittipat Kulapongvanich, known by the name "Top Ittipat." The young man, who was 26 when the film was made in 2011, became a billionaire through his seaweed company, the top seaweed producer in Thailand. He opened the company at age 19 after trying to make a go with DVD player and chestnut businesses. The film portrays the high and low moments in his life, including his addiction to video games at 16, his decision to drop out of college, his families' money problems and his rise to success with his seaweed company.
