Bhouri is a Hindi drama film released in 2016, directed by Jasbir Bhaati. The movie depicts the struggles of a poor, lower-caste woman, Bhouri (Masha Pour), who is forced into prostitution by her husband and his family. Bhouri is a young woman living in a small village in Uttar Pradesh. She is married to Ramsakhi (Raghuvir Yadav), a man who is much older than her and is physically abusive towards her. Bhouri's life takes a drastic turn when her husband's family forces her into prostitution, to earn money for the family.

Bhouri is taken to a red-light area in the nearby town, where she is forced to work as a prostitute. There, she meets a kindhearted woman, Sharmila (Kunika Sadanand), who takes pity on her and helps her escape. Sharmila takes Bhouri to her home and offers her a job as a maid.

Bhouri starts working for Sharmila and soon becomes a part of her family. She develops a bond with Sharmila's son, Akash (Aditya Pancholi), who is a photographer by profession. Akash is infatuated with Bhouri and wants to marry her. However, Bhouri is hesitant to get into a relationship, as she is afraid of being betrayed by men.

As Bhouri starts to rebuild her life, fate has other plans for her. Ramsakhi and his family find out that Bhouri has escaped and they start searching for her. They finally find her working for Sharmila, and they demand that she returns to them.

Bhouri is faced with a difficult choice. She can either return to a life of prostitution and abuse or fight for her right to live with dignity. With the help of Sharmila and Akash, Bhouri decides to fight for her rights and take a stand against the patriarchal society that has oppressed her.

The movie is a powerful portrayal of the plight of lower-caste women in India. It highlights the issues of oppression and discrimination faced by women in a male-dominated society. The director has done a commendable job of presenting the harsh realities of life without being too graphic or sensationalistic.

The performances of the lead actors are noteworthy. Masha Pour, in particular, delivers a sensitive and nuanced performance as Bhouri. She portrays the character with natural ease and steals the show with her compelling acting.

The cinematography and dialogues are noteworthy too. The camera work captures the rural landscapes and the poverty-stricken villages with a rawness that creates an immersive experience for the audience. The dialogues are realistic and impactful, conveying the emotions and struggles of the characters effectively.

Overall, Bhouri is a thought-provoking and poignant movie that sheds light on the vulnerabilities faced by women in India. It depicts the harsh reality of life in rural India and encourages the audience to question the status quo and stand up against oppression.

Bhouri is a 2017 drama with a runtime of 2 hours and 20 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.6.
