This movie is about the story of a boy named Eddie "Gonzo" Gilman, who is the major geek in his high school class. One day, a boy named Gavin, who is a well-known editor of the school, decides to fire Eddie. However, Eddie decides to put together an underground school paper of his own. Once he meets a boy named Evie Wallace, they instantly become best friends and become the most popular kids in school.
