Between Two Worlds is a British drama film directed by James Marquand and released in 2015. The film tells the story of a group of people who are trapped in a purgatory-like situation after dying in a plane crash. The movie revolves around the character of Ryan played by Chris Mason, a young and successful businessman who is on a flight to New York for a business meeting. Along with Ryan, the plane is also carrying a diverse cast of characters, including Harrison (Jai Koutrae), a former soldier who suffers from PTSD, and Maureen (Beth Kingston), a single mother trying to start a new life.

As the plane takes off, something goes wrong, and the plane crashes into the ocean. Ryan and the other passengers find themselves trapped in a strange world which appears to be a kind of purgatory. The group is welcomed by a mysterious but friendly man named Perry (Philip Gardiner), who explains to them that they have died and are now in a sort of limbo.

The passengers are understandably confused and scared, and Perry's explanation only adds to their confusion. As they try to make sense of their situation, they begin to realize that they are not alone in this strange world. They encounter a number of other people who seem to be in the same situation as them, including a woman named Laura (Sara Lazzaro), who claims to have been dead for several years.

As the group tries to come to terms with their new reality, they begin to experience strange phenomena that seem to be linked to their past lives. Ryan, in particular, is haunted by memories of his ex-girlfriend, Olivia (Hannah Britland), and begins to wonder if he has been given a second chance to make things right.

As the days pass, the passengers begin to learn more about each other and their past lives. They also come to realize that they are all connected in some way, and that their lives have been intertwined in ways they never could have imagined.

Despite its supernatural theme, Between Two Worlds is ultimately a film about the human condition. It explores the themes of regret, redemption, and the search for meaning in life. The characters are all flawed and damaged in some way, but they are also relatable and sympathetic. The film offers a thought-provoking exploration of what it means to be human, and what it means to truly live.

One of the most impressive aspects of the film is its cast, which includes several up-and-coming actors who deliver strong and nuanced performances. Chris Mason is particularly impressive as Ryan, a character who is both charming and flawed. Sara Lazzaro is another standout as Laura, a woman who is haunted by her past and struggling to come to terms with her present.

Director James Marquand also deserves praise for his work on the film. He manages to create a sense of otherworldliness that is both eerie and beautiful. The film's visuals are stunning, with breathtaking shots of the ocean and the surrounding landscape.

Overall, Between Two Worlds is a captivating and thought-provoking film that offers a unique take on the afterlife. It is a film that will leave viewers thinking long after the credits have rolled.

Between Two Worlds is a 2014 documentary with a runtime of 1 hour and 1 minute.
