Bending All the Rules is a romantic comedy film directed by Morgan Klein and co-written by Morgan Klein and David Gail. The movie was released in 2002 and stars Bradley Cooper as Jeff, and Colleen Porch as Lauren. David Gail also plays a supporting role in the movie. The plot revolves around Jeff, a struggling artist who has been in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend Karen. However, their relationship takes a hit when she announces that she is moving to Barcelona for a job opportunity. Distraught and not wanting to be alone, Jeff begins dating a number of women to try and fill the void left by Karen.

Meanwhile, Lauren is an aspiring photographer who is fiercely independent and determined to make it on her own terms. She also happens to be roommates with one of Jeff's ex-girlfriends, and the two are constantly at odds with each other.

When Jeff and Lauren cross paths, the attraction between them is immediate, but all the wrong things seem to be happening at just the wrong times. Over the course of the film, they both have to navigate their complicated work and personal lives while trying to figure out if there's something more between them.

Although the movie never takes itself too seriously, it manages to expertly balance elements of romance, humor, and drama. The dialogue is witty and sharp, and the chemistry between the actors is undeniable. Bradley Cooper delivers a charming and nuanced performance as Jeff, while Colleen Porch is equally compelling as Lauren.

One of the standout scenes in the movie sees Jeff and Lauren take part in a 'trust exercise' where they try to catch each other as they fall backwards. The scene perfectly captures the tentative nature of their relationship at that point, and underscores the movie's overarching theme of taking risks and putting yourself out there.

While Bending All the Rules doesn't break any new ground in terms of plot or structure, it's a well-executed romantic comedy that manages to entertain throughout its runtime. The movie is shot on location in New York City, which provides a colorful and vibrant backdrop for the various hijinks that ensue.

Overall, Bending All the Rules is a delightful and charming romantic comedy that will appeal to fans of the genre. It's a movie that doesn't try to be anything more than what it is, and that's ultimately what makes it such a fun and enjoyable viewing experience.

Bending All the Rules is a 2011 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 33 minutes. It has received poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 2.3.
