Belle is a strong-willed and eccentric young woman who is used to being considered odd. However, she has an incredibly sweet spirit and is very close to her father. When he gets lost in the woods on a journey and ends up imprisoned by the beast who lives in a mysterious castle, she offers to switch places with him. Now she is the beast's prisoner, and she has disdain for a creature who would be so cruel as to imprison someone, but she gradually sees his better qualities, too. Might she one day grow to truly love this monstrous beast?
