Beatles - Composing Outside The Beatles: Lennon & McCartney is an independent film that was released in 2011. The movie focused on former Beatles- John Lennon and Paul McCartney on their solo careers after the group disbanded in 1970. After their solo careers in the early 1970s, both John and Paul had a dry spell in 1972. In 1973 both musicians return to music and became bigger and better than ever. John had political and commercial success as a solo artist and Paul became a success with a solo career and with the group Wings. The film shows how the former members were a success in their own rights after spending time as a group years prior.
