This hauntingly sad, yet romantic motion picture conveys a tale of three separate families living in the ghettos of Havana, Cuba. Magalis is a beautiful, young lady who is employed as a nurse. Unfortunately for Magalis, she seems to always be in an unhappy and depressed state. Her family life is not ideal and she recently has been the object of affection by a much older man. The second story has to do with a young couple who are expecting their first child. After tragic events, the father cannot stand the ground he walks on and drowns away his sorrows with alcohol. The third story deals with another young couple who are seemingly in love, but are trying desperately to conceive a child.
