Watch Barbara

This drama is based on the 1929 Venezuelan novel Dona Barbara. When Santos Luzardo returns to his home in Apure after a long absence seeking to sell his family’s land, he discovers the land is now controlled by the devious Dona Barbara. Santos learns from his cousin Lorenzo that Barbara charms men to gain power, and is rumored to use witchcraft to attain her goals. Lorenzo himself was a victim of her wiles. The wicked Dona Barbara falls desperately in love with Santos, but happiness for all hinges on whether she can change her ways and win the heart of her beloved.
