Back to Mom's is a 2016 French comedy film directed by Eric Lavaine. The film features Annie Cordy as Jacqueline, a recently widowed elderly woman who wants to leave her large and expensive country home to move closer to her children, who live in the city. Jacqueline's children, who are all grown up and living their own lives, are reluctant to take in their mother, so she decides to carry out an elaborate plan to get them to change their minds.

The film begins with Jacqueline struggling to maintain her country home after the death of her husband. Her children are rarely around to help her, and Jacqueline realizes that she is lonelier than ever. She decides to move to the city closer to her children. However, her children are not very keen on the idea of having her living with them. Jacqueline's eldest child, Jerome, is a busy businessman who lives with his girlfriend in a tiny apartment, and her middle child, Carole, is a stressed-out mother of three who barely has enough space to accommodate her kids. Her youngest, Jean-Philippe, is an unemployed and directionless thirty-something who still lives with his girlfriend, and they are living in a small apartment.

Jacqueline decides to carry out an elaborate plan to convince her children to let her move in with them. She pretends to be losing her memory, falls down the stairs, and even stage a fake heart attack. Her plan works, and all three of her children decide to take her in, albeit reluctantly. However, they soon discover that living with their mother is much harder than they thought it would be. Jacqueline is determined to get her children to reconnect with each other and find the love that they once shared.

As the movie progresses, the audience sees the challenges faced by Jacqueline's children in taking care of her. The siblings bicker and fight over petty things, but Jacqueline's presence manages to bring them back together. She helps them realize that their family is what really matters. Together, they make an effort to bring back the happy times of the past, through activities like a family dinner, a game of cards, and a picnic by the lake. The film captures the conflicts and clashes between the three children and the humor that arises from the situation they find themselves in while taking care of their mother.

The standout performance in the movie is by Annie Cordy, who delivers a brilliant and touching portrayal of a lonely and determined elderly woman who wants nothing more than to live with her family. She brings a lot of charisma and charm to the role of Jacqueline and keeps the viewer engaged throughout the film. Other performances in the movie are also strong, with Pierre Cassignard delivering a good performance as Jerome, the eldest son of Jacqueline, who is initially reluctant to take in his mother.

Back to Mom's is a comedy film but it's not a typical slapstick comedy. It has its fair share of funny moments, but its strength lies in its ability to convey a lot of emotions. The film highlights the importance of family and the bond of siblings, while showcasing the difficulties that arise when the family is forced to take care of an elderly member.

Overall, Back to Mom's is a heartwarming film that is worth watching. It's a great movie that will make you laugh, cry, and appreciate the importance of family. The film's message of love and togetherness leaves a lasting impact on the viewer, making it a memorable film.
