Mark, a returning soldier suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) seeks the help of a newly-qualified therapist, Tess, so he can feel normal again and try to understand the people in his life: his overbearing sister; a prostitute he is in love with; and the neighbour he is spying on. But Tess's questionable methods of therapy may lead them both to wonder what normal really is.
