Baccha Shoshur is a Bengali comedy-drama that hit theaters in 2019. Directed by Biswaroop Biswas, and starring Jagannath Basu and Chiranjit, the film revolves around a middle-aged man and his struggle to maintain a balance between his family and his business. The story begins with a glimpse of the protagonist, Kakababu, a wealthy businessman who runs a successful textile business. He is a loving father to his two daughters, Jhumur and Tutul, and a doting husband to his wife, Sudha. Everything seems to be going smoothly until his father-in-law, Shekhar's sudden arrival.
Shekhar, a retired judge, is a man of simple taste and traditional values. Upon meeting Kakababu, Shekhar observes that his son-in-law is too busy with work to spare time for his family. This revelation causes Shekhar to plan a visit to them every weekend, much to the displeasure of Kakababu.
As Kakababu's life becomes more and more complicated with this added problem, he finds himself struggling to keep his business afloat. Not to mention that he also has to deal with his daughtersâ relationship issues. Jhumur is in love with a young man who works in his factory, while Tutul is in a relationship with a man who works in the film industry, much to the horror of her conservative grandfather.
