Answer This! is a 2011 comedy film that follows the life of a charming and academically brilliant student named Paul Tarson, played by Christopher Gorham. Paul is currently studying to become a literature professor at the University of Michigan, but is sidetracked by his passion for trivia games. Paul spends most of his free time with his pub quiz team, consisting of his best friend, Izzy (Nelson Franklin), and a quirky girl named Naomi (Arielle Kebbel).

The movie opens with Paul attending his graduation ceremony where he is awarded a prestigious fellowship to pursue his Ph.D. studies in literature. However, Paul's carefree attitude soon leads him to lose the fellowship and his academic career is left hanging by a thread. With few prospects in his chosen field, Paul underestimates the value of his gift for acquiring knowledge and instead decides to take on the challenge of participating in a high-stakes quiz bowl competition.

Despite his intelligence, Paul has a love-hate relationship with trivia games, and it's not until his childhood sweetheart and fellow trivia enthusiast, Naomi, returns to Ann Arbor that he decides to take his passion seriously. Naomi is a music journalist who is in town to do a story on a popular indie band, and when she discovers that Paul has been secretly studying for the quiz bowl, she encourages him to pursue his passion.

As the competition draws near, Paul becomes more consumed with the challenge of winning and neglects his other priorities, including a potential love interest with Naomi. His focus ultimately comes into conflict with his relationships, his health, and his goals in life. Will Paul learn to balance his passion for trivial pursuits with the other aspects of his life, or will he risk it all in pursuit of his obsession with winning the quiz bowl?

The film, directed by Christopher Farah, is filled with witty, relatable characters that will have you laughing out loud. Christopher Gorham's portrayal of Paul, a lovable and quirky trivia buff, is impressive and engaging. Arielle Kebbel's performance as Naomi, a free-spirited music journalist, is equally delightful. The supporting cast, including Nelson Franklin, Chris Parnell, and Kip Pardue, provides excellent comic relief.

The movie explores themes of passion, ambition, and the importance of finding a balance in life. It highlights the thrill of learning and the joy of pursuing one's interests while also reminding us that life is about more than just winning. Through the characters' relationships and trials, the audience is reminded that the pursuit of knowledge can be both rewarding and fulfilling, providing a valuable lesson for viewers of all ages.
