The story revolves around the lead characters Naveen (played by Sameer) and Nandhini(played by Ramya). Naveen is an ambitious young man who comes from a humble background but dreams of becoming a successful businessman. He moves to Bangalore to pursue his dreams and meets Nandhini, who belongs to a wealthy family.
Nandhini is a cheerful and gentle young woman who is passionate about her education and helping others. She is studying in medical college and is heavily involved in social work. Naveen and Nandhini become friends quickly, and Naveen falls in love with her.
However, Nandhini's family is against their relationship as they are from different societal backgrounds. Nandhini's father, played by Raju Ananthaswamy, is a wealthy businessman who sees Naveen as a gold digger who is trying to use his daughter to climb the social ladder.
Despite the opposition, Naveen and Nandhini continue to meet secretly and express their feelings for each other. In addition to the societal obstacles, there are other hurdles in their relationship, including Nandhini's health issues.
As the film progresses, Naveen's father, who is unable to bear the separation from his son, comes to Bangalore to convince Nandhini's parents to accept their relationship. Nandhini's father initially rejects the proposal but later relents after seeing Naveen's sincerity and love for his daughter.
However, the couple's happiness is short-lived when Nandhini's health takes a turn for the worse, and she is diagnosed with cancer. The couple must now fight against all odds to overcome this obstacle and stay together.
The film's direction and casting are remarkable, and the lead actors give outstanding performances. Sameer portrays Naveen's character convincingly and brings out the character's determination and inner strength. Ramya delivers an emotive performance as Nandhini, bringing out the character's vibrant and bubbly nature, quickly turning into a fighter battling an illness.
The music of the film by Mano Murthy is beautiful and perfectly complements the film. In particular, the song "Sanju Weds Geetha" resonated with the audience and became a big hit.
Amrithadhare's storyline touches on several important themes, including family values, societal hierarchy, and the importance of love in overcoming obstacles. The film accurately portrays the struggles that many couples face to gain acceptance of their relationship, especially when they come from different backgrounds.
