As three mischievous chipmunks named Alvin, Simon, and Theodore embark on a luxury cruise with their human companions Dave (Jason Lee) and his love interest Samantha (Karin Konoval), they find themselves in for another wild adventure in "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked" from 2011. On board the ship, the chipmunks are enjoying all the amenities and having a blast until Dave insists on making them stay in the kids' club while he takes some time to relax. The chipmunks are bored and feeling rebellious, so they convince Dave to go on an adventure with them to explore the island they see in the distance.
As they journey to the island on a hang glider, things take a turn for the worse as they crash land on a deserted island that no one else knows about. The chipmunks, along with their female counterparts, the Chipettes, and their annoying nemesis Ian (David Cross), are stranded on the island without any means of contact with the outside world.
As they navigate through the jungle and try to survive on the island, the chipmunks encounter a number of obstacles, including Ian's constant attempts to take them down and a new nemesis in the form of a crazed castaway named Zoe (Jenny Slate).
