Alone is a suspenseful thriller that tells the story of a young woman named Jessica, played by Annie Clark, who is forced to confront her inner demons while staying alone in her apartment building during a power outage. The movie is set in a dimly lit apartment building, which is the perfect setting for the eerie and ominous events that transpire.

The movie begins with Jessica settling into her new apartment, which she has just moved into after a tumultuous breakup. As she begins to make herself at home, a power outage occurs, leaving her completely in the dark. However, her real nightmare starts when she realizes that she is not actually alone in the building.

It soon becomes apparent that someone is stalking her, watching her every move, and attempting to break into her apartment. Jessica's initial response is to barricade herself in her apartment and call the police. But as the night wears on, she realizes that the police are not going to arrive anytime soon, and that she is on her own in the building with the perpetrator.

As Jessica tries to survive the night, she becomes increasingly paranoid and fearful, questioning whether she is imagining things or whether there really is someone out to get her. Her anxiety is further compounded by the fact that her cell phone battery is dying, leaving her cut off from the outside world.

Throughout the movie, we witness Jessica's struggle to hold on to her sanity and protect herself from the apparent threat. Her desperate efforts to outsmart and outrun her stalker lead her to some very dark places, both physically and mentally. Meanwhile, the audience is kept on edge wondering who is behind the attacks and what their motive may be.

Annie Clark delivers an impressive performance as Jessica, portraying the character's vulnerability and raw emotions with great depth and nuance. She is able to convey the character's fear and confusion with a subtlety that draws the audience into her world.

The supporting cast, including Daniel Kash and Richard Clarkin, also deliver strong performances, adding to the movie's overall sense of tension and suspense. The tight direction by John Hyams and the moody cinematography by Yaron Levy add to the film's claustrophobic ambiance, making the audience feel as trapped and helpless as the protagonist.

Alone is a well-crafted psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The movie explores themes of isolation, fear, and trauma, with a focus on how the human mind copes with extreme stress and adversity. While not for the faint of heart, the movie is a must-watch for fans of the genre who appreciate a good old-fashioned scare.
