Watch Algorithm

Algorithm is a thriller movie from 2014 that follows the story of a hacker named Kevin Mitnick, played by Raphael Barker, who is on the run from the FBI. He finds refuge with a group of young hackers who have their own issues to deal with. One of them is Derek, played by Keith Barletta, who is struggling to keep his relationship with his girlfriend Emily, played by Julie Ceballos, in a stable place.

The movie opens with Kevin being chased by FBI agents through the city. The agents are closing in on him, but Kevin manages to escape using his hacking skills. He then goes into hiding and reaches out to the underground hacker community for help. He meets Daniel, a teenage hacker who is part of a hacking collective called L0ne W0lf.

Daniel introduces Kevin to the other members of L0ne W0lf, including Derek and Emily. They are initially hesitant to help him, but Kevin manages to convince them by offering his hacking expertise. The group then decides to help Kevin by feeding him information and helping him evade the FBI.

Meanwhile, Derek and Emily’s relationship is on the rocks. Derek’s obsession with hacking and his involvement with L0ne W0lf are taking a toll on their relationship. Emily is worried that Derek might be arrested and is also frustrated by his lack of attention to their relationship. She starts to spend more time with another member of the group, a hacker named Max.

As Kevin’s relationship with the group grows, he becomes embroiled in their personal lives. He helps Max with a hack that exposes his father’s shady business practices, which leads to Max’s father going to prison. Emily becomes jealous of Kevin and Max’s growing bond, and Derek becomes more and more distant.

As the FBI gets closer to capturing Kevin, the group comes up with a plan to help him escape the country. Meanwhile, Emily confronts Derek about his obsession with hacking and tells him that she can't be with him anymore. Derek then starts to question his involvement with L0ne W0lf, and whether it’s worth risking everything for.

The movie builds up to a tense finale as the group executes their plan to help Kevin escape. But, things don’t go as planned, and they are forced to improvise on the spot. The FBI is closing in fast, and Kevin’s fate hangs in the balance.
