Aces 'N' Eights follows the story of Luke Rivers, played by Casper Van Dien, a former gunslinger turned rancher who is forced back into his old ways when a group of bandits threaten his town. The movie is set in the late 1800s, and the town is preparing for a big poker tournament when the bandits ride in and start causing trouble. Luke is persuaded to join a group of vigilantes led by D.C. Cracker, played by Bruce Boxleitner, to take on the bandits. Along with them is Marshal Cain, played by Ernest Borgnine, who is trying to keep the peace and bring the bandits to justice. The group of vigilantes is made up of various characters, each with their own motivations and backstories.

As the plot unfolds, it becomes clear that there is more to the bandits than meets the eye. The leader of the bandits, Alex McMurtry, played by Jeff Kober, has a personal vendetta against Luke and will stop at nothing to get revenge. Meanwhile, one of the members of the vigilante group, JD, played by William Atherton, has his own secret agenda.

The tension between the vigilantes and the bandits builds throughout the movie, and the poker tournament becomes the backdrop for the final showdown. The stakes are high, with the fate of the town and the lives of its citizens hanging in the balance.

The movie is well-paced, with enough action to keep the audience engaged without feeling overwhelming. The performances by the lead actors, particularly Van Dien, Boxleitner, and Borgnine, are strong and add depth to their characters. The supporting cast is also solid, with each performer bringing something unique to their roles.

One of the strengths of Aces 'N' Eights is its attention to detail in portraying the era. The costumes, sets, and props all convey a sense of authenticity, and the movie doesn't shy away from the harsh realities of life in the Old West. It also explores themes such as justice, revenge, and redemption, giving the story a weight and resonance beyond the surface-level plot.

Overall, Aces 'N' Eights is an entertaining Western with a solid cast and an engaging story. Despite some cliches and predictable moments, it manages to deliver a satisfying experience for fans of the genre.
