Formed in 1973, the band overcame tragedy and went onto fame after the death of Bon Scott, their original lead singer, becoming even more successful with vocalist Brian Johnson. AC/DC were elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2003 because of their fundamental sound and appeal.
