Salvatore Accardo is considered to be one of today's most celebrated violinists. During his career spanning over half a century, Accardo has endeavoured in all types of music with the same enthusiasm: he has also dedicated much of his time to teaching violin to numerous young musicians, some of whom are now established professionals on an international level.
Dynamic is happy to feature a series of DVDs proposing the master classes held by Salvatore Accardo in Cremona (the world capital of Violin Making) at the famous Walter Stauffer Musicology Centre in 2011. These classes are dedicated to several of the most famous pieces of the violin repertoire (both chamber and virtuosic music).
For example, the first DVD proposed by Dynamic featured two considerably different compositions in character and content: Beethoven's Sonata No.3 Op.12 in E flat major and Sarasate's Carmen Fantasy Op.25.
The subtitles are in English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
A third new recording with other master classes is scheduled for release over the next few months. We will keep you updated on these and other future developments in this area.
