The movie is directed by Ambrish Sangal and has music by Bappi Lahiri. The story follows a young man named Shankar (Mithun Chakraborty) who lives in a village with his mother and sister. Shankar is a hardworking and honest man who dreams of making it big in the city. When a local moneylender threatens to take away his home, Shankar decides to go to the city to make a better life for himself.
In the city, Shankar takes up odd jobs to make ends meet. He meets a woman named Rita (Rameshwari) who he falls in love with. However, Rita is already engaged to a wealthy man named Prakash (Rakesh Pandey). Shankar and Rita start working together in a factory and become close friends.
Meanwhile, Shankar's friend Raja (Rakesh Bedi) introduces him to a man named Seth Dharamdas (Madan Puri) who is looking for a driver. Shankar gets the job and starts working for Dharamdas. However, he soon finds out that Dharamdas is involved in illegal activities and wants him to be a part of it.
Shankar refuses to be a part of the illegal activities and quits his job. Dharamdas, however, is not happy with this and tries to harm Shankar. The rest of the movie revolves around how Shankar deals with Dharamdas and his gang.
Aadat Se Majboor is a typical Bollywood movie from the 80s. It has all the elements of a Hindi movie - action, drama, romance, comedy and music. Mithun Chakraborty, who was a rising star in the 80s, delivers a good performance as Shankar. Rameshwari also does a good job as the love interest of Shankar. Madan Puri is excellent as the villain.
The movie has some good songs by Bappi Lahiri. The title track "Aadat Se Majboor" and "Mere Dil Ki Dhadkan" are still popular among fans of Hindi music.
Overall, Aadat Se Majboor is an entertaining movie that will appeal to fans of Bollywood cinema. While it may not be a classic, it is definitely worth a watch for fans of Mithun Chakraborty and 80s Hindi movies.
