Top-billed Ginger Rogers, three years before her initial career-making teaming with Fred Astaire, was just dipping her tapping toes in the movies when she made this Pathe melody comedy. Having already conquered vaudeville and Broadway, she is introduced here under her own name as "our little star" to sing two nightclub numbers in a Betty Boop-like comic voice (and with brunette hair which she'd soon ditch for lighter shades). Framed as a story told by one co-ed to another, it has little to do with higher education and much to do with singing, dancing and joke-cracking. - Dennis Harvey
