88 Minutes is a crime thriller movie released in 2007 starring Al Pacino, Alicia Witt, and Ben McKenzie. Directed by Jon Avnet, the film tells the story of a university professor who is targeted by a vengeful killer and has a mere 88 minutes to save his own life as well as those of the people around him. Dr. Jack Gramm (Al Pacino) is a renowned forensic psychiatrist and criminologist who has become so successful in his field that he is often called upon to assist the FBI in profiling and catching serial killers. However, Gramm's past comes back to haunt him when he receives a phone call informing him that he has only 88 minutes left to live.

Initially thinking it is a hoax, Gramm is forced to take the threat seriously when he realizes that the voice on the other end of the line is the same as that of a convicted serial killer who he helped put behind bars. As the clock ticks down, Gramm races against time to solve the puzzles that could save his life and those of his students, friends and colleagues.

The murderer seems to be fixated on a specific upcoming execution, and as Gramm works to unravel the clues and solve the puzzles, he begins to suspect that someone close to him may be involved. Meanwhile, the killer continues to leave a trail of bodies, each of which is discovered bearing the same cryptic message.

The intense thriller is full of suspenseful twists and turns, with numerous red herrings and misdirections that keep the audience guessing until the very end. Al Pacino's performance in this film is brilliant, as is his co-star Alicia Witt, who plays Kim Cummings, one of his students.

Kim becomes Gramm's indispensable ally in the race against time, but her presence also introduces a surprising twist: Gramm's professional ethics are put to the test as he becomes romantically involved with one of his students.

The film's fast-paced editing, combined with its gripping soundtrack, creates an intense atmosphere that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats throughout its runtime. The set pieces are well-crafted and visually stunning, with the climax of the movie being particularly memorable.

88 Minutes is an excellent example of an intense thriller movie that will have you questioning everything you know until the very end. Its gripping storyline, combined with the standout performances of its cast, makes it a must-watch for anyone who enjoys a good suspenseful thriller.

88 Minutes is a 2007 thriller with a runtime of 1 hour and 51 minutes. It has received poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.9 and a MetaScore of 17.
