The movie starts with a recap of the events that happened in the previous movie, The Devil’s Rejects, where the main characters, Otis Driftwood (Bill Moseley), Baby Firefly (Sheri Moon Zombie), and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) were involved in a brutal shootout with the police. The three of them were presumed dead, and the movie ended with a shot of the family’s car getting hit by bullets as they drove off into the sunset.

In 3 from Hell, it is revealed that the trio actually survived the shootout and are now in prison. Baby is shown as being mentally unstable and still having delusions of the family being able to escape and continue their killing spree. Otis is struggling to adjust to prison life and has become something of a target for the other inmates. Meanwhile, Captain Spaulding is on death row and awaiting his execution.

One day, Baby receives a letter from a mysterious cousin named Winslow Foxworth Coltrane (Richard Brake), who invites her and her family to join him in Mexico, where he has a hotel and a place for them to live. Baby sees this as a chance to escape prison and reunite with her family, and she convinces Otis to go along with the plan. The two of them manage to break Captain Spaulding out of prison, and the three of them head to Mexico.

Once there, they meet up with Winslow and are introduced to his strange group of associates, including Sebastian (Emilio Rivera) and Rondo (Pancho Moler). It is soon revealed that Winslow is actually a member of a Satanic cult, and he wants the family to help him with his plans for world domination. As the family becomes more involved with the cult’s activities, they begin to question whether their loyalty should be with Winslow or their own family.

Overall, 3 from Hell is a gruesome and intense horror movie that is not for the faint of heart. The movie explores themes of family loyalty, betrayal, and the corrupting influence of power.
