Watch 2019 Countdown to Summer Preview Special

This movie is actually not a traditional feature-length movie, but instead a preview special for Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Summer programming. Hosted by Larissa Wohl, the special features sneak peeks of five different movies that were set to air throughout the summer of 2019. One of those movies is "Love Unleashed," starring Jen Lilley and Christopher Russell. In the preview, we see Lilley's character, a successful author and single mom named Hailey, meet Russell's character, a dog trainer named Ryan. The two initially clash when Hailey's unruly dog causes a scene at Ryan's obedience school, but they eventually realize they have a connection and start to grow closer.

Another movie highlighted in the preview is "A Feeling of Home," starring Jonna Walsh and Nathan Parsons. Walsh plays a talented chef named Abby who decides to return to her small hometown to start a new restaurant. Parsons plays Nate, a childhood friend who still lives in the town and helps Abby with her venture. Of course, as they work together, they start to see each other in a new light.

The special also gives us a glimpse at "From Friend to Fiancé," starring Jocelyn Hudon and Ryan Paevey. Hudon's character, Jess, is a free spirit and world traveler who returns home for her best friend's wedding. Paevey's character, Ted, is her friend's older brother who has always been suspicious of Jess's nomadic lifestyle. However, the more time they spend together, the more they start to realize they may have feelings for each other.

The fourth movie highlighted is "The Secret Life of Pets 2," an animated feature starring the voices of Patton Oswalt, Kevin Hart, Lake Bell, and others. The sequel follows the further adventures of Max the dog and his group of animal friends, including a new addition: a brave and adventurous Shih Tzu named Daisy.

Finally, the preview shows us a snippet of "Paris, Wine & Romance," starring Jen Lilley (in her second Countdown to Summer movie) and Dan Jeannotte. Lilley's character, Isabella, heads to Paris to help her comatose father's vineyard by competing in a prestigious wine competition. Jeannotte plays Jacques, a talented winemaker who becomes Isabella's romantic interest as they work together.

Throughout the special, Larissa Wohl also shares behind-the-scenes looks at each of the movies, including interviews with the cast and crew. We see the actors filming scenes on set and learn interesting tidbits about the making of each film. Additionally, there are some sneak peeks of other summer-themed Hallmark Channel programming, including a "June Weddings" special and a "Christmas in July" lineup.
