Watch 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

This 1997 rendition of French author Jules Verne's classic novel of the same name is a must for fantasy lovers every where. Directed by Richard Fleicher this version of the classic tale has one major change that sets it apart from the original saga. The faithful man servant of Professor Arronax, Consell, is replaced by the professor's daughter named Sophie. She ends up incognito as a boy in order to be allowed to travel with her father on the ship, the USS Abraham Lincoln. Inadvertantly she ends up in a love triangle between herself, Captain Nemo, and the whaler, Ned the harpooner.Special effects and action highlight this movie for all ages.
