"16 December" is a 2002 action thriller film directed by Mani Shankar with a brilliant cast consisting of Milind Soman, Danny Denzongpa, and Gulshan Grover. The movie revolves around a fictitious incident of a terrorist group's plan to conduct a mass attack on India. The film's name 16 December is named after Vijay Divas, which marks India's victory over Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani War in 1971.

The story starts with a group of terrorists kidnapping the Indian President and holding him hostage in his own official residence. The terrorists are demanding the release of one of their leaders who has been arrested and detained in India. However, as the events unfold, it turns out that the terrorist group has bigger plans of their own.

With the stakes high, India's intelligence agency RAW assigns a team of five officers - Vikram (Milind Soman), Sharma (Aditi Govitrikar), Ajay (Sushant Singh), Vishal (Dipanita Sharma), and Balbir Singh (Vinay Pathak) - to find and rescue the President before the terrorists can execute their terrorist attack.

The team is led by Vikram, a brave and smart RAW agent, who along with his team, must use their intellect and bravery to overcome the tremendous adversity that awaits them. The team must infiltrate the heavily guarded President's residence and rescue the President while the terrorists' plan is still in motion.

As they inch closer to their goal, they discover a shocking truth that threatens the safety of the entire nation. In a race against time, the team must find a way to eliminate the terrorist threat and prevent a catastrophic disaster.

The movie has an action-packed storyline with breathtaking action sequences that keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The screenplay is well-constructed, with the right amount of suspense and drama.

Milind Soman gives a noteworthy performance as Vikram, the leader of the RAW team. He perfectly portrays the character's bravery, wittiness, and intelligence. Danny Denzongpa, who plays the security head of the president, gives an exceptional performance as well. His portrayal of a seasoned security chief is spot on.

Gulshan Grover as the dastardly terrorist leader is terrifyingly brilliant. His portrayal of a cold-blooded terrorist is suitable for the character, and he does not disappoint. The supporting cast also delivers commendable performances.

Another aspect of this movie that deserves praise is the excellent cinematography. The visuals are stunning, and the action sequences are well choreographed.
