Founded in 1965 in Queensbury, New York, Tribune Media Services, or TMS is a part of the media, information technology and entertainment services private industry. TMS allows customers to access a variety of entertainment data along with a unique guidance technology, which includes cable operators, consumer electronics manufacturers, application developers, studio and research companies, and entertainment platforms.
As an international provider for TV and movies, TMS also supplies data to over 4,000 companies on its product line, some of which include Roku, TiVo, Virgin Media, Time Warner Cable, and DIRECTV. In addiction to using metadata to measure analysis and media, TMS has also produced a TV hub, Zap2it, which connects audiences to the latest TV shows, celebrities, movies and other fans alike.
With headquarters in upstate New York, the company's CEO is Daniel Kazan, and COO/President, John B. Kelleher. TMS has been known as Tribune Media Services, only until recently when in 2013, the company decided to rebrand. TMS's brand colors are that of white and blue.
