This popular cable television station is all about the exciting sport of tennis. Since it began in 2003, Tennis Channel provides live tournament coverage, information, instruction and lively discussion that is second to none. While its main headquarters is in Santa Monica, California, the station also telecasts original programming, interviews, and other tennis related news from their broadcast center in Culver City. Their investors include icons of the sport, Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras.
The popularity of the channel is increasing with the addition of quality new studio produced programs such as the Tennis Channel Academy and Celebrity Tennis. One of the most memorable series was called 100 Greatest of All Time. Tennis pundits from around the world chose a hundred of the best professional male and female tennis players ever. They were featured in five separate episodes of one hour each. The program included tennis greats like Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Jimmy Connors and Roger Federer, to name a few.
