TeleFutura is a television network broadcasting in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Mexico with American television programs broadcasted in Spanish. TeleFutura was founded in 2002 and its headquarters are located in Doral, Florida. TeleFutura is owned by Univision Communications. After 11 years of programming from 2002 to 2013, TeleFutura was relaunched as UniMás. UniMás offers programming in standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD)under the name UniMás HD, as of 2010. UniMás programming is available through most popular cable and satellite companies, including Time Warner Cable, Dish Network, and DirecTV.
UniMás offers an entertaining mix of news, sports, talk shows, and telenovelas for the Spanish-speaking community. Some of the most popular programs on the UniMás network are El Chivo, ¿Quién Eres Tú?, ¿Quién Tiene la Razón?, and El Chavo del Ocho. In addition to the popular programs, UniMás broadcasts Metástasis, which is the Spanish-speaking version of the hit show Breaking Bad. Before the relaunch in 2013, TeleFutura aired a special called Buscando La Doble de Selena: La Gran Final. This special drew in nearly 2 million viewers, helping TeleFutura and UniMás to become the second largest prime time Spanish-speaking television channel. In addition to the regular programming and specials, UniMás is known for broadcasting popular sports events such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
