Sinking Ship is a British media channel that focuses on digital content. The television channel was founded in 2005 in Bristol. Thomas Redwood was a former actor and desired to go into the profession of producing. He formed a channel and called it Sinking Ship. The original programming was centered around the daily lives of artists living in London. However, consumer demand forced the channel to pivot and begin providing news and updates on celebrities.
Since 2010 the channel has focused on the genre of interview talk shows and reality television. The talk shows generally involve a host and a panel of judges who then rate the host on their ability to interview the guests. Currently, a show called Drama Force is the interview show that is being promoted by the channel. Shirley Sheen is the host and the panel rotates between various famous celebrities and comedians in Britain and the United States.
A reality television series that has aired on Sinking Ship is called London is Falling Down. It features six young artists who live together in a large apartment in downtown London. Though the group starts out as friends, the series documents the various changes in the social dynamics of the group. Eventually, best friends become enemies and enemies work together to seek revenge on the other housemates. It received one of the highest ratings for the month of July when it first launched in 2012. It is slated for additional seasons after 2015 if the producers can cast new talent.
