Mystery Bay is an American television channel based in Florida. It was started in 1999 when a fisherman named Jim Robinson decided to give up his profession and begin making mystery television. He didn't have much funding for his first show, so he simply read a lot of mystery novels and filmed a homemade video in his backyard. However, when producer James Houston saw the amateur material, he saw potential. The company was able to raise money and soon Mystery Bay worked out contracts with larger companies like Disney in order to license the channel's shows to different partners around the country. In 2014, the company announced that their shows would be translated into over 4 different languages.
Current titles on the channel include Sherman Oaks, Pastor Bob, and The Cane. Sherman Oaks is a mystery series that focuses on a young family in the rural area of Duluke, Alabama. Surrounded by forest and wilderness, the family begins experiencing a strange series of events in their home. Items begin to move suddenly and they realize that ghosts may be present.
The Cane is a thrilling and scary mystery series that was adapted from a book called Black Cane. The show is set in California where an old woman is supposedly a wicked spirit who has come back to life. Her main source of power is an ancient cane that she carries with her. The first season lasted four episodes and the second season is slated to appear in 2016 with 11 more.
