Covering sports has become big business. Its getting to the point where every individual sport has a channel devoted to covering just that sport. Some channels have struggled to get it right and give the crowd what they want. While others like the MLB Network have hit an absolute home run. Bringing baseball fanatics all they can handle from the best out of market ball games to very informative and insightful documentaries and biographies all about America's favorite past time. Bringing the most up to date news is great in and of itself, but this network has brought some of the best and brightest baseball minds to television in order to do so. Whether they are just former players, baseball statisticians, or MLB Hall of Fame legends, there is not a network that has nailed it as much as the MLB Network. Nothing is more frustrating as a fan than to be ready to watch your favorite team, or a marquee matchup, on television only to have the game blacked out locally. MLB Network does an incredible job of strategically selecting the games folks want to watch. For the fan that wants to delve into the history and statistics of the game, the network has done as good job if not better than any at bringing rankings of current players, biographies of the great players and managers, and cutting edge analysis of the top prospects, and blooper shows. There is always something informative and entertaining for either the casual baseball fan to the crazed America's favorite past time fanatic.
