Fox Sports Southwest channel is a sports network channel that serves the Southwest region of the US featuring sporting events that take place in eastern New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. It is is owned by Fox Entertainment Group and is a sister station of Fox Sports Networks. The headquarters of the Fox Sports Southwest channel is Irving and Houston Texas.
The channel holds the regional cable television rights to all Dallas Stars, San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio Stars, Dallas Stars, and Texas Rangers games. In addition, it airs the Conference USA and the Big 12 games or matches that occur locally. Additionally, it also holds the cable television rights to the 2A-5A football championship and the UIL 6A state championship games.
Due to its wide service area, Fox Sports Southwest is the second largest network in the Fox Sports Network group for both viewership and area. The network itself is split into five different television markets and broadcasting zones depending on where it is airing from. Programming on the channel is a mix of programs from Fox Sports Networks and some unique programming that only airs on Fox Sports Southwest such as Dallas Morning News and Hometown Kids.
