Fanworks is a fan fiction site that is devoted to a variety of different themes, including television shows and movies. While not necessarily a television per se, it is entertaining to read some of the different stories and perspectives that the individual writers can bring to some of the most well-known television shows.
The Fanworks medium has several different sections, including departments for actors, athletes, books, cartoons, holidays, movies, musicians and musical groups, television shows, video games, and a section that is wholly devoted to the cult classic "Mystery Science Theater 3000".
In the movies category there are various ways that individuals speculate about the way some movies should have ended. Some of these movies include such titles as "A League of their Own", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Coyote Ugly", and even "Jackass."
The same type of activity is true within the cartoon section of the site, which speculates what some of the characters of some of our favorite cartoons would do as an adult. For example, the Simpsons sections has the show going way into the future, where it features Maggie getting married and has Bart becoming a successful attorney.
There is also a regular TV Show category where fans speculate about what would happen if the show had had different events or if it would have turned out differently. Fan fiction is a fascinating genre, much like Alternative History is for science fiction geeks.
